Aubrie attended Savannah College of Art and Design on a full soccer scholarship and obtained her degree in Painting and Illustration.

After graduating, Aubrie taught art at Landmark Christian School in Fairburn Georgia. She taught Kindergarten through 12th grade art and also became the head coach for the varsity boys soccer team.

Aubrie then attended Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA where she earned her Masters degree in Art Therapy and Counseling. Internships in the following three settings enabled Aubrie to gain a wide variety of experience:

Experience in child and adolescent trauma came when Aubrie spent three years working for Victim Outreach Intervention Center in Butler PA. working as a  counselor for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Additionally, Aubrie gained court experience providing legal advocacy and also crisis intervention.

Aubrie and her two daughters live on St Simons Island, along with their border collie and three cats. In their free time, they enjoy kayaking, jumping on the trampoline, riding bikes around the island, building sandcastles at the beach, and “painting” the town.
