Jennifer Sears, LPC

Brunswick Location

Jennifer is a skilled psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of adult mental health conditions.  She is passionate about helping individuals understand themselves and better understand their symptoms to empower them in learning what path will best lead to relief and improved quality of life for each person.  Jennifer works with each person to understand and develop a plan for maintaining a healthy state long after therapy is complete. For most, these are not major life adjustments but small changes and shifts in understanding that begin to resolve many symptoms. While Jennifer meets primarily with adults on their own mental health, upon request, she can work with parents who want to understand and learn interventions to help their children who may be experiencing these symptoms.

Therapy with Jennifer may include any combination of modalities depending of the needs and receptivity of the individual. She is skilled in classic techniques of cognitive therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, etc; as well as commonly incorporating brain and body-based interventions such as ecotherapy, adventure-based psychotherapy, approaches to working with the nervous system, affective neuroscience in psychotherapy and techniques from sports psychology. Jennifer’s gentle yet assertive approach is sure to bring confidence and valuable gains to any person seeking therapy.

Jennifer holds a Board Certification (NCC) with the National Board for Certified Counselors. She is licensed with the State of Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
