Greetings all, I am Marcus Simmons, born and raised in Brunswick, Ga. I am a graduate of Brunswick High School, completing studies in 2013. I graduated from Savannah State University in 2017, with a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Most recently Graduated from Liberty University with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. With Emerald Isle Counseling, I will provide our coastal communities various therapeutic services. Together, we will work to explore the why’s, what’s, and how’s that have shaped and influenced you and your life. We seek out answers to questions, new understanding to places of confusion and compassion. Our goal is for every client to see and feel the results stemming from the sessions being held. Providing a sense of clarity and progress in your day-to-day lives. I believe anyone who steps into a therapeutic space exhibits vulnerability but also strength and courage, to not only say, “I Need Help” but to also seek it.
Outside of work, I am a loving husband and dog dad to our Yorkshire Terrier, Marlee. I am a musician/teacher and have been playing percussion instruments since the age of 7. I marched in both high school band and in college. I love sports, “Go Dawgs!” and enjoy spending time with friends and family, understanding one can’t put a price on the time and memories made with the ones you truly love and that truly love you. Looking forward to working with you.
