Denise is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia. She earned a masters degree in clinical psychology from Eastern Illinois University.

Aubrie attended Savannah College of Art and Design on a full soccer scholarship and obtained her degree in Painting and Illustration.

After graduating, Aubrie taught art at Landmark Christian School in Fairburn Georgia. She taught Kindergarten through 12th grade art and also became the head coach for the varsity boys soccer team.

Erin completed her graduate degree at Saint Leo University with a Master’s of Social Work/Advanced Clinical Practice. She graduated with the highest G.P.A in her Social Work graduate class, earning her the Student of Distinction Award.
Erin’s experience includes; advocating for children and adults who were physically, and sexually abused and/or assaulted, providing individual, groups, couples, and family therapy in both residential and outpatient settings.

Christian King has extensive experience working with all ages in a wide variety of areas. He taught in the Chattanooga/Hamilton County, TN school system for 3 years, before moving to Knoxville, TN and working as a social worker and therapist in Project G.R.A.D. Knoxville; a private organization that partnered with the public school system.

He was an in-home therapist and social worker in the East Tennessee region for 5 years, and later worked in the Knox County Dept. of Children Services, as he obtained his Masters degree from Liberty University in Professional Counseling and becoming a Clinical Therapist.

Using empathy and their belief system together to define the core issues Cheryl and her clients set goals. By altering behaviors to achieve a sense of well-being and emotional health the client begins to have a sense of peace. Everyone wants to live rich meaningful lives yet there are challenges in life that can be difficult to manage alone. Losing hope of obtaining a resolution defines a moment when a professional therapist like herself can be helpful. Attending therapy in a safe, inviting, and non-judgmental session creates the trust clients require for a positive experience.

Practice Manager

Judy is the rock star of Emerald Isle Counseling as she is the first voice patients hear when they call. Judy does a marvelous job in taking care of patients and staff in her role as Practice Manager. She is originally from Jacksonville and spent most of her career in the building industry; having worked in sales/management for various large home builders in the Jacksonville area. Additionally, she has owned and successfully managed several small businesses. Judy brings this marketing and business acumen to EIC, a hallmark of a successful practice management.

Chelsea comes from a background in acute healthcare and hospice management for over 10 years. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University. Recently she managed over one hundred employees from various professional backgrounds for a large hospice provider; her passion is being a resource to all in need.

 


Kelly Fehrenbach

Practice Administrator

Kelly comes from a background in Healthcare Human Resources/Recruiting and Administration for the last 15 years. Her passion is empathizing and recognizing the needs of other people whether it be her coworkers or clients. Kelly has lived in Brunswick most of her life and raised her teen and adult children with her husband for the last 20 years.  She loves shooting guns and refinishing furniture in her spare time.

Madi is attending the University of the Cumberlands to obtain her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With experience as administrative assistant, Madi works with enthusiasm and a helping nature. She enjoys getting to know and helping others. Madi resides on St. Simons Island and in her free time, she loves to cook, travel, spend time with friends and family, and take care of her puppy.

Shayna spent most of her life in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2016 with her Bachelor’s in Business Management. She moved to the coastal area in 2017 with her daughter to join her parents who started a small business. As the client services administrator, her job is to oversee the office operations and she is committed to making the patients and their families experience a positive one. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and working on her medical billing and coding certification.
